She was meant to complement the room. Beautiful, decorative, preferably quiet.
Among black ornaments and flashes of gold, three female profiles emerge.

Description
Three female profiles inhabit an ornate black-and-gold surface. Two nearly disappear into the wallpaper-like patterns, while the third emerges, still carrying traces of the ornament across her face.
Pretty Enough to Be Ignored explores the uncomfortable contradiction of a woman being admired for her beauty while overlooked as a person. The ornament becomes more than decoration — it reflects the expectations that can make a woman both highly visible and strangely invisible.
Built through layers of mixed media, translucent oil glazes and oil pastels, the painting combines richly textured surfaces with intricate patterns and golden accents.
Original oil and mixed-media painting on canvas.
