The Afternoon Tea

700 €

All I remember is that it started with a nice cup of tea.
There was a garden.
The flowers began keeping secrets.
The teacup forgot it was only a teacup.

The afternoon stretched a little longer.
The colours grew a little brighter.

And reality,
quite politely,
waited outside.

Description

A teacup, fragments of foliage and looping patterns drift through pink, green and deep plum. Collage and textured paint give this imagined afternoon its slightly unruly rhythm.
Familiar shapes slip into abstraction, leaving the scene open to interpretation. There’s room for a cup of tea, and for whatever your imagination brings to the table.
Created through a layered mixed media process using collage, acrylics and modelling paste on 100% cotton, museum-quality paper, the artwork combines rich texture with vibrant colour and an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and wonderfully unpredictable.
